Goshen

Janet G. Fry, 85, of Goshen, died Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born September 14, 1934 in Goshen to Vern W. and Mildred R. (Lewallen) Rassi.

On September 22, 1951 she married Edward C. Fry in Goshen.  He died January 30, 2019.

Survivors include a daughter, Candace Jo Kehr of Goshen; a son, Bradley William Fry of Rockford, Illinois; four grandsons; a granddaughter; 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Shirley Hoogenboom of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Marie Miller.

A lifetime Goshen resident, she retired in 1987 from Goshen Hospital where she was assistant manager of housekeeping.  She was a well-known photographic artist, recording local personalities, works of historical interest, wildlife and nature.

Mrs. Fry was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church; National Executive Housekeepers Association; Professional Photographers of Indiana; Professional Photographers of America; Women of the Moose, Elkhart and Extension Homemakers Club, Clinton Cliques.  She volunteered at Jefferson School and Carriage Manor and lectured and taught artwork, ceramics and crafts in her home and to social groups throughout the Goshen Community.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020, from to 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, funeral service will be conducted.  Pastor Craig Garber will officiate.

Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Goshen Home Care and Hospice or Goshen Hospital Foundation.
