Jane Yoder, 72, of Goshen, passed away Thursday evening, August 27, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital after a short illness. She was born January 12, 1943 in Goshen to Leo and Viola (Kauffman) Harshberger. On August 28, 1965 she married Elva Yoder. He survives along with four children, Denise (Jim) Smith of Goshen, Mike (Polly) Yoder of Middlebury, Tammey (Jedd) Yoder of Winter Park, Colorado and Karl Yoder of St. Ignace, Michigan; four grandchildren, Allie (Trenton) St. Germain, Nick Smith, Lauren Yoder and Carson Yoder; a great-grandson, Jameson St. Germain; and a sister, Mary Louise Jones of White Cloud, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Violet Peachey and a brother, Raymond Harshberger. Mrs. Yoder was a lifetime resident of Goshen except for 17 years spent in Arthur, Illinois. A 1962 graduate of Jefferson High School, she was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church. She worked as a secretary for 22 years at Coachman Industries and helped with her husband and son's business. Her grandchildren brought her a lot of joy. She also enjoyed working in the garden and the yard and spending winters in Florida. Friends may call Monday, August 31, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Pleasant View Mennonite Church. Pastors Tyler Hartford and Ron Diener will officiate. Burial will follow in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to Center for Hospice Care.
