Jane S. Yoder

Jane Sophia Yoder, 93 of Palatine, Illinois, died at 2:45 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Manor Care, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

She was born August 24, 1924 in Johnston, Rhode Island to Thomas Edward and Daisy (Radnor) Pillion.

She graduated from Coventry Rhode Island High School. She married Sanford Ray Yoder on September 2, 1945 in Wakarusa. He preceded her in death July 13, 2016.

Jane was a loving wife and mother. Along with raising her children she worked at Monsanto Chemical Company and retired in 1980. After retirement, she was a volunteer with Mennonite Relief Services at disaster projects throughout the eastern U.S.

She is survived by her sons, Donald (Linda) Yoder of Pekin, Illinois, D. Thomas (Karen) Yoder of Garner, North Carolina, Phillip (Nancy) Yoder of Palatine, Illinois, Michael (Betty) Yoder of Winter Springs, Florida and sister-in-law Martha (Lester) Miller of Toledo, Ohio. She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son James and a sister Dorothy Pickering.

Funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S Main St., Goshen, I ndiana on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Cemetery in Goshen, Indiana.
