Jane Marie Hershberger

Jane Marie Hershberger, 75, of Indianapolis and formerly of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at North Capitol Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born April 16, 1940 in LaGrange to Amos and Elsie Elmina (Eash) Bontrager.

On December 4, 1960 she married Calvin R. Hershberger in LaGrange.  He died December 27, 1978.

Mrs. Hershberger is survived by three sons, Tom Hershberger of Indianapolis, John “David” Hershberger of Waterman, Illinois and Joseph Hershberger of Indianapolis; a grandson, Calvin John Hershberger of Neenah, Wisconsin; and seven siblings, Harold (Dee) Bontrager of Elkhart, Lila (Rick) Philbrook of Shipshewana, Velda Christner of Indianapolis, Dorvan Bontrager of Shipshewana, Miriam Yates of Rome City, Carolyn (Gary) Hollowell of LaGrange and Nedra (Gary) Christner of Shipshewana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Marilyn Vollmar and Leota Edwards.

Jane (Bontrager) Hershberger was a 1960 graduate of Shipshewana High School.

Friends may call Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 23, 2016,  from 11 a.m. until the 12, noon, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Mike Overpeck will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
