James Monroe Sizemore, 64, of New Paris died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born September 20, 1954 in Hyden, Kentucky, to John Harlan and Joan (Weybright) Sizemore.
James is survived by his mother; sisters, Sandra Sizemore of New Paris and Leah (Ron) Schrock of Goshen; brother, Randall (Terri) Sizemore, Sr. of New Paris; nieces and nephews, Randall Sizemore, Jr., Daniel Sizemore and Haley and Madison Schrock; six great nieces and nephews; and family friend, Bonnie Reagan.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Howard Sizemore and his father.
A 1973 graduate of Fairfield High School, he was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of Wyatt Conservation and Coon Hunters Club. He enjoyed riding his horses and mule, Sadie.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, funeral service will be conducted at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dwayne Runkle and Pastor Norm Replogle of West Goshen Church of the Brethren officiating.
Burial will follow in Baintertown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital.
