James R. Savage, Sr., 79, of Goshen, died Thursday, May 30, 2019, at home.
He was born October 19, 1939 in Rochester, New York to Carl and Gladys (Carman) Savage.
On March 13, 1982 he married Charlynn Dodd in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. She died June 22, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Heather Savage of Goshen and Janet (Robert) Hudson of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; two sons, Howard Savage of Hazard, Kentucky and David Savage of Burnsville, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters, June (John) Ciervo of Philadelphia, Ronnie Savage Doll of California and Carla Savage of Lake City, Florida.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Liney and a brother, Robert Savage.
Mr. Savage was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the U.S. Army for two years. He worked with electrical, phone and computer repairs.
According to his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen. Interment will be in Marion National Cemetery.
An 8:30 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019, memorial service will be held at Crossroad Community Church, 57415 Alpha Drive.
