James L. Rosser, 80, of Bonita Springs, Florida, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, November 21, 2007, at his home. He was born on November 20, 1927, in Winston County, Mississippi, to Lamar and Katie (Watt) Rosser. He married November 14, 1947 to Rebecca Mauzy. They divorced in 1963. Mr. Rosser retired as the business agent for the Mechanics Union. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #88 in Elkhart. He served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He is survived by a son, Ron L. Rosser of Syracuse; a daughter, Becky (Lyle) Willems of Dinuba, California; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, William (Margaret) Rosser of Goshen; and a sister, Willie Brady of Seattle, Washington. He was preceded in death by a son, Harold in 1973. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 29 at the funeral home. An 11 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2007, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Louis Showers will officiate. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery, New Paris. Memorial contributions may be given to the V.F.W. Post #88.
