James Riddle

James Riddle, 84, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, October 18, 2011, at Courtyard Healthcare. He was born March 24, 1927 in Ligonier, to the late Jess and Ruby (Frick) Riddle. He married Ida M. Yoder June 2, 1969 in Elkhart. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Connie Riddle of Sebring, Florida; a son, David (Jackie) Riddle of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janis (Charles) Ramer of Shipshewana, Virginia (Foster) Flint of Fort Myers, Florida and Joan Reidenbach of Ligonier; and a brother, Carl (Kay Ann) Riddle, Albion. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Salzburn January 28, 1992 and a sister, Rosemary Halsey. A lifetime area resident, he was a member of First Baptist Church, Elkhart. A farmer, Mr. Riddle drove truck for Frick Services for 30 years. He also worked nine years at Dana/Weatherhead and drove school bus for four years. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 21, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011, funeral service will be conducted. Retired minister, Rev. Brooks Henry will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be made to Cross World Ministries.
