James William Quast, Jr.

James William Quast Jr., 70, of Goshen, passed away Friday night, March 13, 2015, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born October 5, 1944 in Keshena, Wisconsin to James William Quast, Sr. and Margaret (Menore) Roman. On April 12, 1968 he married Brenda Smith. She survives along with three sons, Michael Potier and Alex Quast, both of Elkhart and James Walter Quast Sr. of Goshen; two daughters, Teresa Gilliam of Montana and Audra Quast of Goshen; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geraldine Ramm. A resident of Elkhart County since 1984, he worked as a welder at Lippert Components. He served with the US Army from 1960-62. Private family services will be held and cremation will follow.
