James Hugh Mauter, 51, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital.

He was born March 17, 1970, in Houston, Texas.

James is survived by his mother, Connie (Ulery) Mauter of Elkhart; a sister, Christy (Daniel) Galeziewski and nephew, Anthony Galeziewski, both of Granger; and his girlfriend, Christine Inks of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, James Hugh Robinson.

A 1988 graduate of Goshen High School, Jim studied and graduated from Western Michigan University where he attended on a track scholarship.

He was working as a project manager for Basement Doctor.

He enjoyed working out, traveling and loving on his fur babies.  Jim was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 12 until 2 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 2:30 p.m. funeral service will be held.  Pastor Jason Kincaid, Assembly of God Church, will officiate.
