James "Jim" Michael Replogle, 72, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Jim was born on August 30, 1953, in Goshen to John M. and Mary Lou (LaFary) Replogle.

Jim retired from Reese Towing. A dedicated and compassionate man, Jim then served as a Direct Support Specialist and former Director at Logan Center, an adult male special needs facility. He took immense pride and joy in taking "his guys" to compete in the Special Olympics. Outside of work, Jim had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, but above all, he cherished every moment spent with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is survived by his two daughters: Crystal (Wade) Sowers of Washburn, Tennessee and Dawn (Steve) Buckmaster of Goshen. Jim was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Cody Adkins, Jordan (Kristen) Adkins, Carson Adkins, Jeffrey Sowers, Bryce Sowers, Kayla (Lance) Miller, Brittany Buckmaster, and Zachary Buckmaster. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, with two more expected this fall.

He is further survived by his brothers, Donnie Replogle of Elkhart and John (Wendy) Replogle of Wakarusa; and a step-sister, Ruby Henshaw of Illinois . Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Jo Replogle and step-sister, Emily Thompson.

Cremation will take place. A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Table 108 in Goshen, 108 N. Main St., Goshen .
