James E. Fish, 51, of Goshen, died early Monday morning, August 6, 2007, at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on June 20, 1956, to Charles and Mary (Hopson) Fish. He married Nancy Woodson on January 28, 1977, in Gallagher, West Virginia. She survives. Mr. Fish moved to Goshen 11 years ago coming from West Virginia. He worked for American Electric Power in coal mines. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Stacey (John) Thompson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Amanda Fish of Goshen; two sons, John Fish of Goshen and Aaron Fish of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; two sisters, Linda (Howard) May of Syracuse and Connie May of Elkhart; and three brothers, Charles (Linda) Fish and Lee (Dawn) Fish, both of Gallagher, West Virginia, and Alonzo Fish of Hurricane, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Smith. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 8 at the funeral home. An 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2007, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Fred Curry of New Paris Full Gospel Church will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
