James “Jimmy” Duvall, 76, of Goshen died Saturday morning, February 20, 2016 at IU Health Goshen Hospital after being in failing health for years.
He was born July 31, 1939 in Albany, Kentucky to Jess and Mabel (Rigney) Duvall.
On March 25, 1978 he married Donna Butler in Goshen.
She survives along with two daughters, Donielle (Christopher) O’Haver of Millersburg and Cristella Duvall of Kokomo; three sons, Jimmy Duvall of Kokomo, Jason Duvall of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Michael “Tony” Ott of Syracuse; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, David (Phyllis) Logston of New Castle; and five sisters, Mary Helen Lee of Muncie, Anna Lorene (Larry) Cox of New Castle, Geri (Jan) Kolodziej of New Castle, Gwen (Floyd) Cook of Cookville, Tennessee and Carolyn Stewart of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Erick Duvall; three sisters, Betty Sidwell, Shirley Logston and Tammy Ferguson; a brother, Gary Dale Logston; and a granddaughter, Angelecque Johnson.
Jimmy worked at Midwestern Rubber, retiring after 25 years in maintenance. He was a member of Goshen Church of God. He enjoyed NASCAR and racing at Mount Lawn in New Castle.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Pete Ramie will officiate.
Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, New Castle.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family for funeral expenses.
