James "Chuck" Ditmars

James “Chuck” Ditmars, 65, of Portage, Michigan, died Friday afternoon, October 31, 2008, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born in Laotta, Indiana, on May 13, 1943, to James and Nellie (Little) Ditmars. He is survived by three brothers, Robert Ditmars of Fort Wayne, Roger Ditmars of Florida, and James Ditmars, Jr. of Michigan. He was preceded by a sister, Debra Lorttie and two infant brothers. Friends may call 2 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, November 10 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2008, graveside service will be held in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.  Rev. Michael Tarner of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen will officiate.
