Jacqueline Patricia Kurtz, 87, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Cottage Garden.
She was born August 23, 1928 in Goshen to Elmer Frank Harsh and Rachel Mary (Rock) Smith.
On September 27, 1946 she married Donald F. Kurtz in New Paris. He died Aug ust 9, 2008.
Survivors include three sons, D. Steven Kurtz of Broomfield, Colorado, John (Deb) Kurtz of New Paris and Fred (Debbie) Kurtz of Goshen; a daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Briskey of Bargersville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Toqualee Armington of New Paris and Shirley Norris of Fishers. Mrs. Kurtz was raised by her aunt and uncle, Faye and George Emmert after the passing of her mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Sandra Hamilton and Eleanora Addington; two brothers, George and Bert Harsh; and her aunt and uncle, Faye and George Emmert.
A 1946 graduate of New Paris High School, Mrs. Kurtz was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was very active in many other church activities.
Friends may call Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, New Paris, where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Rob Nelson will officiate.
Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery.
