Jackie D. Hostetler, 60, of Goshen, passed away Monday afternoon, August 13, 2012, at IU Health Goshen Hospital after a six week illness. He was born May 31, 1952 in Goshen, to the late Pete and Phyllis "PJ" (Davidhizar) Hostetler. He married Judith "Judy" Kummeth September 18, 1976 in Goshen. She preceded him in death December 7, 2011. Surviving are three children, James E. Hostetler, Frances (Rich) Hernandez and Anthony Hostetler, all of Goshen; a nephew, raised like a son, Robert Hostetler, Goshen and two granddaughters, Mila and Ana Hernandez. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Hostetler and a sister, Melody Hostetler. A 1972 graduate of Goshen High School, he worked as a purchasing manager in the RV industry. He was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Bristol, where he was a Eucharistic Minister; and the Goshen Bowling Association where he was a past secretary and past president and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2000. He had bowled three 300 games. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, NASCAR and the Chicago Bears. He was a collector of Coca Cola memorabilia. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 16, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 11 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2012, funeral mass at St. Mary's, Bristol. Thursday, a 4 p.m. rosary will be recited. Rev. Father Robert VanKempen will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church.
