Jack R. “Slick” Howell, Jr., 44, of Goshen died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at his home. He was born September 2, 1961 in Charleston, West Virginia to Jack R. and Maxine (Falin) Howell. In September 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Debra A. Corbin. She survives. Mr. Howell was a truck driver and a member of the Goshen Moose Lodge. His hobbies included riding and working on his Harley and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Debra, his parents, Jack and Maxine Howell, two step-sons, Charles “Chuck” Falin of Goshen and Jason “J.J.” Back of Middlebury, two step-daughters, Deena Falin of Goshen and Chrissy Falin of Middlebury, and six grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara (Jan) Weldy and two brothers, Willie E. Howell and Terry L. Howell, all of Goshen. Friends will be received 5 to 8 Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, November 4 and 5, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:00 am funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5, 2005. Rev. Jimmie Webster of the Church of God of Prophecy, SR 119, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
