Jack Reed

Jack Reed, 81, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at home.

He was born September 14, 1940, in Goshen to George Reed and Evelyn (Coyle) Phillips.  He was raised by his grandparents, Ernest and Della Coyle.

On June 7, 1986, he married Jo E Brumbaugh in Ligonier.

She survives along with five children, Rick (Wendy) Reed, Punta Gorda, Florida, Sherri (Tony) Cordes of Lakeville, Cindy (Kevin) Barnard of Elkhart, Lori (Bill) Martin of Auburndale, Florida and Jenni Reed Beard of Arcadia, Florida; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie McDowell and two grandson, Ricky and Jeremy Reed.

Mr. Reed was an avid race driver and mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and had a passion for all animals.  He was a truck driver for the mobile home and RV industry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Jack’s home at a later date.

Memorial donations may be given to the family or Center for Hospice Care.
