Jack Allen Lerner

Jack Allen Lerner was born on February 26, 1947 in Elkhart County, Indiana to Harry and Janette (Swartz) Lerner. He graduated from Elkhart High School, in 1966 and completed the Goodman Theatre Arts Program in Chicago, IL and a USA merchant marine program. Jack spent most of his life in Port Townsend, Washington.

On August 7, 2025 he passed away from an injury received in a fall, while walking outdoors. Jack is survived by sisters, Barbara Reynolds, Wildwood, FL, and Kelly (Alli Kingfisher) Lerner, Spokane WA; brother, Chris (Helen) Lerner, Ormond Beach, FL; and nephews Jeffrey Howard, Lafayette, IN, Scott (Kara) Day, Summerfield, FL, and Kevin (Glenda) Day, Springfield, MO.

On June 12, 2026 at 10:30 am, Chris and Helen will lay Jack's remains to rest at the Harry Lerner Sr. section, Rice Cemetery, Elkhart IN. There will be no formal ceremony, but Jack's family and friends are welcome and invited to be present and share their thoughts and memories of Jack. He was a beloved son, and brother.
