Jack E. Hart

Jack E. Hart, 89, of Goshen, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, Oct. 18, 2014, at Courtyard Healthcare where he resided the past three months. He was born on November 22, 1924 in Paris, Illinois, to George Franklin and Grace Irene (Meeks) Hart. He is survived by his wife, Janet O. (Pierce); four children, Brenda (Clay) Holston, of South Bend, Larry D. (Edna) Hart, of Goshen, Lori L. Hernandez, of Kinston, North Carolina, and Robert L. Hart; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Jill Ann Hart, several brothers and a sister. Mr. Hart served during WWII with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He worked at Western Rubber Company for 23 years in quality control and as a supervisor prior to retirement. Jack was a kindly man who will be remembered for his good sense of humor. Visitation will be two hours prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service, Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service with burial at Violett Cemetery at a later date.
