J. Richard Schlabach

August 7, 1929 — July 22, 2013

J.Richard Schlabach, 83, of Goshen, died at his home. He was born August 7, 1929 in Goshen, to Ezra and Vivian M. (Johns) Schlabach. Surviving are his sisters, Ruth Shaum, and Arleta (Phill) Kilmer, both of Goshen; brothers, Dorvin (Ruth), and Theron F. Schlabach, both of Goshen, and Dale I. (Vivian) Schlabach, of Middlebury. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Eudean Broni. Richard was a lifelong area resident and member of Maple City Chapel. He spent his working years in the mobile home and R.V. industry, retiring from Carriage, Inc. He volunteered at the Window, and in the community in a variety of ways. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at Maple City Chapel, prior to the 10:30 a.m. memorial service. Pastor Gary Miller will officiate. His body will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be directed to Maple City Chapel Community Auto Repair Ministry, or the Window.
