J Jesus Mujica Alfaro

J. Jesús Mujica Alfaro, de 72 años, falleció el lunes 23 de febrero de 2026 en el Hospital General de Elkhart.

Nació el 15 de octubre de 1953 en Santa Cruz de Villa Gómez, Michoacán, México, hijo de Florencio Mujica Sebastián y María Santos Alfaro Castillo.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Yolanda Pérez Melo; sus dos hijos, David y Daniel Mujica Zepeda; tres hijastros, Félix Alberto, David Arturo y Ana Elizabeth De La Cruz Pérez; nueve nietos; y tres hermanos, Adán, Hermilio y Rosa Mujica Alfaro. Además de sus padres, le precedieron en su partida 5 hermanos.

Durante la primera etapa de su carrera profesional, Jesús sirvió a su comunidad como dentista en su país natal. Al emigrar a los Estados Unidos, se estableció en el área de Michiana, donde se convirtió en un miembro valioso de la industria Vehículo Recreativos.

Fuera del trabajo, Jesús era un apasionado del fútbol; fue un fiel y ferviente seguidor del Cruz Azul.

Siguiendo sus deseos, la cremación se llevará a cabo en Yoder-Culp Crematory.

Se celebrará una misa fúnebre el viernes 13 de marzo de 2026 en la iglesia católica St. Vincent De Paul, 1108 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516.

Como un último tributo a sus raíces, sus cenizas serán trasladadas a su ciudad natal para su descanso eterno.

J Jesus Mujica Alfaro, 72, died on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born October 15, 1953 in Santa Cruz De Villa Gomez, Michoacan, Mexico to Florencio Mujica Sebastian and Maria Santos Alfaro Castillo.

Survivors include his wife Yolanda Perez Melo; two sons, David and Daniel Mujica Zepeda; three step-shildren, Felix Alberto, David Arturo and Ana Elizabeth De La Cruz Perez; nine grandchildren; and three siblings, Adan, Hermilio and Rosa Mujica Alfaro.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 siblings.

Jesus spent his early career serving his community as a dentist. Upon moving to the United States, he settled in the Michiana area, where he became a valued member of the RV industry.

Outside of work, Jesus was a passionate soccer enthusiast. A lifelong and avid fan of Cruz Azul.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory in Goshen, Indiana.

A funeral mass will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026 at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516.

In a final tribute to his roots, his cremated remains will be returned to his hometown.
