Ivan I. Astakhov

Ivan Astakhov, 75, of Goshen, died early Monday morning, June 24, 2013, at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital. He was born January 24, 1938 in Russia to Ivan J. and Vera (Kolometsava) Astakhov. He married Vera Popova in 1964 in Russia. She survives along with two daughters, Yelena Maksimchuk of Goshen and Tatyana Udovenko of Elkhart; a son, Andrey Astakhov of Goshen; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vasil of Elkhart and Michael of Russia; and a sister, Maria of Ukraine. The funeral service will start at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Daniel Ivanov, Temple of God Grace, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
