Iva Marie Truex

Iva Marie Truex, 79, of Goshen, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Sunday, September 27, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 31, 1941 in Milford to Ralph and Esterbell (Harman) Krull.

On December 19, 1959 she married George Truex in Milford.

He survives along with four children, Kim (Doug) Desper of Kendallville, Tammy (John) Kavanaugh of O’Fallon, Missouri, Christina (Christopher) Cortez of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tracey (Dwane) Peterson of Columbia City; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two brothers, Lester (Carolyn) Krull of Goshen and Hubert (Beth) Krull of Milford.

A 1959 graduate of Milford High School, Mrs. Truex was a member of Jefferson Community Church.  She volunteered as a 4-H leader and was a 50-year member of the Busy Homemaker Extension Club.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.  She and her husband wintered in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

She retired from Independent Lightening Protection, Goshen, where she worked in accounts receivable.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  A Friday, 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home.  Pastor Ken Hunn will officiate.

Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Jefferson Community Church.
