Irvin C. Yoder, 87, of Goshen, died Friday, May 24, 2019, at Goshen Hospital after a stroke on Monday.
He was born July 17, 1931 in Grantsville, Maryland and was raised by Oscar and Katherine “Kate” Yoder in Middlebury.
On November 23, 1950 he married Anna Barbara Cross in Middlebury. She died July 19, 2014.
Survivors include daughters, Rosa Yoder of Lake, Michigan, Norma Yoder of Niles, Michigan and Loretta (Dannie) Mast of Goshen; sons, Warren (Marla Kauffman) Yoder of Newton, Kansas, Richard (Anita) Yoder of Greenwood, Dwight (Dianne Smith) Yoder of Mobile, Alabama and Wesley (Jill) Yoder of Goshen; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and siblings, Orvan (Elnora) Yoder and Carolyn (Stanley) Miller, both of Middlebury.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Evelyn Slabach and Marvin Yoder.
Mr. Yoder owned and operated Blue Fin Boats, farmed and as an ordained minister, served the Riverview Mennonite Church and Calvary Mennonite Church, both in Michigan. He was a member of College Mennonite Church, Goshen.
Visitation will be Monday, May 27, 2019, from 3 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, May 28, from 9 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Miller 8 Square, Goshen.
Memorials may be given to Faith Mission, Elkhart.
