Irma L. Rink, 89, of Millersburg, died early Tuesday morning, May 18, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born in LaGrange, Indiana on March 3, 1921, to Ralph and Rosa (Larimer) Kline. She married Paul Rink on March 23, 1944, in Middlebury. He died December 31, 1986. She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1939 and from Lutheran’s Nurses Training School, Fort Wayne in 1943. A registered nurse, Mrs. Rink worked for 30 years at Goshen General Hospital and prior to that at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was a member of Zion Community Church since 1944 and served as choir director for 40 years. She was also a member of the American Nursing Association. She is survived by a daughter, Kay (James) Bates of Lafayette; two sons, Dean (Kathy) Rink of Goshen and Bruce (Linda) Rink of Millersburg; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ilene Doak of Windsor, Canada. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan; and two sisters, Iona McGill and Iva Kirk. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Zion Community Church, Millersburg, with Pastor Chris Howell officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg. Memorial contributions may be given to Heifer International or Zion Community Church.
