Irene Thomas

Irene Thomas, 75, of Wakarusa died Saturday, April 29, 2023 at The Waters of Wakarusa.

She was born July 3, 1947 in Goshen to Lloyd J and Edith (Stutzman) Thomas.

She is survived by five children, Larion (Melody) Beachy of Knoxville, Tennessee, Lucinda Beachy of Tucson, Arizona, Lynnford (Laura) Beachy of Kansas, Oklahoma, Lloyd (Angie) Beachy of Nappanee, Lelan Beachy of Moore Haven, Florida; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Steve Sutton of Hanover, Ohio ; a brother, Lawrence Stutzman of Goshen and a brother-in-law, Ivan Schrock also of Goshen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorinda Sutton; a sister Ruby Schrock and a sister-in-law, Elsie Stutzman.

Irene was a self-employed seamstress and enjoyed traveling and crafting.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral service at Berea Christian Fellowship. Pastors Jake Frey and James Yoder will officiate.

Cremation will take place after service.
