Irene M. Rheinheimer, 89, of Goshen, passed away at her home Wednesday morning, November 20, 2013. She was born in Wakarusa April 20, 1924 to Jacob and Mattie (Yoder) Miller. On November 22, 1942 she married Dr. Floyd L. Rheinheimer in Shipshewana. He died July 7, 2008. She is survived by two daughters, Faye Gonzalez of Austin, Texas and Anita (Paul) Yoder of Goshen; three sons, Lowell (Jun) Rheinheimer of LaFarge, Wisconsin, Roger (Virginia) Rheinheimer of Port Angeles, Washington, and Douglas (Val) Rheinheimer of Alexandria, Virginia; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth McGinnis of Elkhart and Phyllis Troyer of Millersburg; and a brother, Kenneth (Sally) Miller of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sisters, Velma Gorce and Lucille Mierau and three brothers, Ora, Harold and Dale Miller. A 1942 graduate of Shipshewana High School, Mrs. Rheinheimer was a member of College Mennonite Church. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2013, at College Mennonite Church in the Gathering Room. An 11 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013, memorial service will be held at College Mennonite Church. Pastor Phil Waite will officiate. A private family burial will be in Milford Cemetery, Milford. Memorial contributions may be given to Mennonite Disaster Service and Mennonite Central Committee.
