Idamae Nisley, 84, of Goshen, passed away early Friday morning, October 25, 2013, at Courtyard Healthcare where she had been since January. She was born September 5, 1929 in Goshen to S. Hugh and Esther (Myers) Woods. She married Omer L. Nisley September 24, 1976 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. He survives along with a daughter, Linda (Pat) Harrington of Elkhart; six sons, Douglas (Cathy) Everingham of Wichita, Kansas, Stephen (Linda) Everingham of Rolling Prairie, Ron (Pam) Everingham and Richard (Kim) Everingham, both of Goshen, Phil (Mary) Everinghamof Elkhart and Greg (Carola) Everinghamof Sheridan, Illinois; three step-daughters, Elaine (Kevin) Kinion of Port Orange, Florida, Evelyn Stone of Austin, Texas, and Tracy (Doug) Hoogenboom of Middlebury; a step-son, Todd Yoder of Denver, Colorado; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Rassi, Norma (Glen) Kyle and Kathy Nusbaum, all of Goshen; and two brothers, Glenn Woods of Goshen and John (Donna) Woods of San Diego, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Neil Everingham and Amy Davis; and a brother, Willard Woods. A longtime member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Mrs. Nisley attended Goshen High School and worked at Johnson Controls for 35 years until retiring in 1994. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting, sewing and ceramics. Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Monday, October 28, 2013, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Pastor Dick Rinearson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
