Ida Jane Sharp

Ida Jane Sharp, 76, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, April 4, 2006, at Americare of Goshen, where she had been admitted in February of 2004.  She was born March 1, 1930, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Don and Lillian (Detweiler) Hawk.  On December 29, 1952, in Goshen, she married Vernon D. Sharp.  He survives.   Mrs. Sharp had spent all of her life in Elkhart County.  She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse.  She enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and little dolls.   She is survived by her husband, Vernon; a daughter, Penny (Ron) Miller, of Goshen; a grandson; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Betty (Dick) Ratlif of Goshen.   She was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Ralston.   Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m.   Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Lighthouse in lieu of flowers.
