Ida M. Riddle

Ida M. Riddle, 94, of Goshen, died Wednesday evening, June 25, 2014, at Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen. She was born January 11, 1920 in Thomas, Oklahoma, to Menno and Catherine (Schlabach) Yoder. On June 2, 1969 she married James Riddle in Elkhart. He died October 18, 2011. She is survived by a step-daughter, Connie Riddle, of Sebring, Florida; a step-son, David (Jackie) Riddle, of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret "Peg" (Francis) Miller, of Goshen; step-sisters, Demi (John) Mishler, of Greenwood, Delaware, Ann (Joe) Yoder, of McMinnville, Oregon, and Katie (Paul) Schwartzentruber, of Kalona, Iowa, and a step-brother, Andrew (Demi) Chupp, of McMinnville, Oregon. Ida was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Catherine Salsbrun; four sisters, Alta Whybrew, Sarah Whybrew, Barbara Kauffman and Ruth Miller; and a brother Ezra Yoder. Mrs. Riddle was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, Elkhart. Friends may call one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Dr. Greggory Lanzen, First Baptist Church of Goshen, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Light Hospice.
