Howard E. "Harv" Sellers, 87, of Syracuse, died Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2013 at his home, with his wife, his dog Riley, and his caretaker, Cathy Flickinger by his side. He was born December 5, 1925 in Maplewood, Ohio, to Roy J. and Loretta (Griffin) Sellers. On July 4, 1982 he married Karen Linville, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives along with three daughters, Susan McClish, and Debra I. Kuhn, both of Syracuse, and Christine "Tina" A. (Robert) Reid, of Goshen; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, LoaAnn Dahl, of Syracuse, and Barbara (Sam) Bontrager, of Lake Wales, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Ruth Sellers; a son, Larry Sellers; a daughter, Kathy Sellers; and step-son, Mikel Peters; three brothers, Marvin, Jesse, and Charles Sellers; and a sister, Glendora Madlem. Mr. Sellers was a longtime area resident and owner of Sellers Manufacturing Inc. from 1962-2010. Friends may visit with family Monday, July 15, 2013 from 4 to 6 pm., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home prior to the 6 p.m. memorial service, led by Anjenette Hasse. His body will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be directed to R.V/M.H. Hall of Fame, or the New Hope Pet Rescue, Syracuse.
