Howard E. Roth, 89, of Mission, Texas and formerly of Goshen, died Tuesday morning, January 19, 2016.
He was born October 10, 1926 in LaGrange County to Daniel W. and Susie (Miller) Roth.
On March 22, 1968 he married Carol (Stiver) Mills. She died January 28, 1996. He later married Mary Ann (Gresser) Manuel in Mission, Texas on February 14, 1997.
She survives in Waconia, Minnesota along with his four daughters, Jane (Terry) Masters of Huntertown, Judi (Bobby) Deam of Greensboro, North Carolina, Karen Ballengee of Phoenix, Arizona and Becky McKinley of North Webster; three step sons, James Mills of Warsaw, Jeffery Mills of Goshen and Jim (Kim) Manuel of Excelsior, Minnesota; a step-daughter, Patricia Manuel of Duluth, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Claron Roth of Goshen.
Along with his parents and Carol, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Roth and a step-daughter, Connie Manuel.
Howard was a 1944 graduate of Topeka High School and member of First United Methodist Church. He retired from Johnson Controls in 1988 as Inspector Supervisor. He was also a member of the Swinging Hoosiers square dance group.
Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2016 at 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis D. Leinbach of the Lancaster Chapel United Methodist Church, Craigville, will officiate.
Burial of cremated remains will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
