Hisa Asaoka

Hisa Asaoka, 84, of Goshen, died Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2013 at Greencroft Goshen Health Care. She was born November 26, 1928 in Seattle, Washington, to Tojiro and Noye (Hayashi) Asaoka. She is survived by a brother, Lyle (Mitsu) Asaoka, of Porter Ranch, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, James and Leo Asaoka. Ms. Asaoka was a lifelong nurse educator, spending time in Christian missionary service in Nepal. She was a member of the Indiana State Nurses Association, and the First English Lutheran Church, where she served as a Stephen minister. She also volunteered with hospice and at Greencroft. Friends may call Saturday, June 8, 2013, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the 10:30 a.m. Memorial service at First English Lutheran Church, Goshen. Pastor Gene Hollingsworth will officiate. Her body will be cremated and interred at a later date in Oakwood Memorial Park, Chatsworth,California.
