Henry J. Pankratz, 95, of Goshen, died late Tuesday morning, October 3, 2006, at Greencroft Healthcare.   He was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, on January 10, 1911, to Jacob B. and Helena (Harder) Pankratz.  He married Elsie Marie Penner on August 21, 1933, in Mountain Lake.  She survives.   A resident of Goshen since, 1992, Mr. Pankratz was a retired turkey grower and cattle feeder.  He served on the boards of the Production Credit Association, the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association, and for 21 years on the Mt. Lake school board.   A graduate of Mt. Lake High School, he was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake and Rotary International.  In 1953 he became a member of the Mennonite Economic Development Association (MEDA) and traveled widely visiting MEDA international projects.  He was also active in 4-H.   Mr. Pankratz is survived by his wife, Elsie; three daughters, Lenore (James) Waltner of Goshen, Indiana, Louise (Emil) Kreider of Beloit Wisconsin, and Barbara (John) Fast of Harrisonburg, Virginia; a son, Stanley (Eileen) Pankratz of Minneapolis, Minnesota; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Pankratz and Anna Harder; and three brothers, Jacob, Peter, and John Pankratz.   Friends will be received 10 to 11 a.m, Friday, October 27, at the Meetinghouse at Greencroft.   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2006 at the Meetinghouse.   His cremains will be buried in Mountain Lake, Minnesota.   Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) or Mennonite Economic Development Association (MEDA).
