Henry Carl Buller, 88, of Bremen, died 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2009, at his home following three and a half years of failing health. He was born in Richey, Montana, on February 15, 1920, to Chris A. and Lena (Schmidt) Buller. He married Fern Stoll on October 10, 1943. She died November 15, 1980. He then married Sarah Kaufman on June 5, 1982, in Goshen. She survives. Mr. Buller moved to the area in 2002 coming from Goodyear, Arizona where he had worked as a custodian for Glencroft Retirement Community and later in the RV industry. He attended the Nappanee Missionary Church and was a member of the Sunnyslope Mennonite Church in Phoenix, Arizona. He enjoyed woodworking and raised miniature horses. He did CPS (Civilian Public Service) in Colorado and Montana. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; a son, Marlowe Jay Buller of Beloit, Wisconsin; two daughters, Marlene Joy (Stan) Gingerich of Goshen, and Marva Jean (Marvin) Miller of Argos, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin C. Buller of Asheville, North Carolina; and a sister, Adeline Ost of Glendive, Montana. He was preceded in death by his first wife; four children, Merlin Henry, Myla Fern, Marlys Kay and Malena Ann Buller; two granddaughters, Angela and Amber Miller; and two sisters and six brothers. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 8, and one hour prior to the service at the Nappanee Missionary Church. A 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at the Nappanee Missionary Church. Pastor Marvin Engbrecht will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Marshall County Hospice.
