Helen J. Walterman

Helen J. Walterman (Jean), 92, of Goshen, died at her daughter's home Monday morning, January 20, 2014, and is now with her Lord. She was born July 26, 1921 in Cook County, Illinois, to Everett and Leta (Eaheart) Hosmer. Mrs. Walterman is survived by three daughters, Janet (Milett) Kedys of Goshen, Kay J. Krass of Willowbrook, Illinois, and Joyce L. (Keith) Brown of Bartlett, Illinois; a son Douglas (Cathie) Brouwer of Hampshire, Illinois; a step-daughter, Mildred Strand of Galesburg, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Arthur C. Brouwer and Harry J. Walterman; a sister, Katherine Hosmer; three brothers, Jack, Alfred and John Hosmer; and a step-daughter, Dora Osborne. A homemaker, Mrs. Walterman has lived most of her life in Illinois but has been in Goshen since 2007. A graveside service will be conducted at Oakridge-Glen Oak Cemetery, Hillside, Ill. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements.
