Helen B. (Ong) Hachet

Helen B. (Ong) Hachet, 70, of Goshen, died Monday morning, November 7, 2005, at her home.   She was born January 22, 1935, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Eugene and Elsie (McChesney) Ong.  On November 1, 1958, in Elkhart, she married Richard A. Hachet.  He died August 1, 2004.   Mrs. Hachet graduated from Elkhart Central in 1955 and attended Goshen College.  She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Goshen, and was baptized at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Elkhart.   She is survived by a daughter, Linda Hachet of Goshen and a son, Greg (Pam) Hachet of Henison, Michigan, two grandchildren, a sister, Jeanne (Bob) Haddenhorst of St. Louis, Missouri and a brother, Richard Ong of Elkhart.   Friends will be received 6 to 8 pm Friday, November 11, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 10:00 am, Saturday, November 12, 2005, will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, Goshen.  Father Henry G. Randolph of St. David’s Episcopal Church, Elkhart, will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Care Center of Goshen.
