Helen L. Miller

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Helen, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched on February 2, 2020.  Helen L. Miller, 85, of New Paris, died early Sunday morning at Greencroft Rehabilitation Center in Goshen. She was born March 7, 1934 in Goshen to Charles M. Fry and Grace L. Fry.  She married Roscoe Miller on August 11, 1967.

She will be sorely missed and survived by her sister, Betty (Joe) Randolph, her children Linda Thomas of Middlebury: Diane Lantz of LaGrange: Chuck Lantz of Fairland: Michael (Missy) Lantz of Goshen: and Amber Miller of Illinois; 12 grandchildren,  9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister Margaret Hile, her daughters Charlotte Begley, and Angela Miller, her stepsons, Dale, Dean, and Daniel Miller and her stepdaughter Debbie Miller.

All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love and caring for them.

She loved to bake and cook, was highly skilled with crochet hooks and loved to read murder mysteries, thrillers and do crossword puzzles.  Always a farm girl at heart, gardening was a passion of hers.

Words of encouragement, wisdom, and sometimes comfort, kept us in line, taught us right from wrong and gave us something to pass down to our children.

She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Friday, February 7, 2020.

Burial will follow at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.
