Helen Jean Flanagan

Helen Jean Flanagan, 79, of Nappanee, died on Tuesday afternoon, February 26, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital.  She had been admitted to the hospital on Monday. She was born on January 4, 1929, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Wiley and Ada (Gibson) Caudill.  She married Louis J. Pernokis.  He preceded her in death in 1962. A homemaker, Mrs. Flanagan moved to Nappanee in October 2007, coming from Osceola and Goshen. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine (Tim) Smith of Nappanee; three sons, William Phillip (Kristi) Pernokis of Elkhart, Nicholas L. Pernokis of Nappanee and Paul Louis Pernokis of Albion, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louheitta Hall of Carr Creek, Kentucky.  There will be no visitation or services.
