Heinz R. Jarausch, 86, of Goshen, died early Monday morning at IU Health Goshen Hospital where he had been four days. He was born November 12, 1924 in Breslau, Germany to the late George and Elfriede (Bergel) Jarausch. He married Ilse Strich on July 23, 1953 in Germany. She died July 18, 1990. He then married Hee "Grace" Sok Cho on March 26, 1992. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Peter (Terri) Jarausch and Steven Jarausch, both of Goshen; two step-sons, Samuel Lee of Washington D.C., and Sonny Lee of Atlanta, Georgia; a grandson; five step-grandsons; a sister, Rita (Willie) Boessmann of Tampa, Florida; and two brothers, Gueter and Werner Jarausch of Germany. He was preceded in death by a son, Wolfgang; a sister, Loni Jarausch and a grandchild. A Goshen resident since 1970, Heinz owned and operated General Shoe Repair, Goshen from 1968-2001. He was a member of Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen Masonic Lodge, Goshen Moose, and Scottish Rite of South Bend. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011, funeral service will be held at Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen, with Pastor Larry Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery following cremation. Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth United Church of Christ for the family.
