Harry G. Bragg Iii

April 26, 1942 — January 12, 2024

Harry G. Bragg III went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday January 12, 2024, at The Waters of Wakarusa.

Harry was born on April 26, 1942, in New Albany, to Helen (Morrell) and Harry G. Bragg II, they both preceded him to Heaven. His precious wife Mary M. Bragg also preceded him to Heaven in April of 2023, and now they are reunited and rejoicing together in the Lord’s presence.

Harry’s brother Richard W. Bragg preceded him in death and his younger brother Michael Bragg survives.

Also surviving are his children: Stephanie (Todd) Lehman, Goshen,  and Kevin (Julie) Bragg, Ponder, TX., they will continue to honor their dad’s legacy by sharing the gospel with the lost.

Harry’s grandchildren are: Auston L. (Alicia) Yoder, Derrick J. (Janelle) Julian, Jamie R. Julian, James Conner, and Khloe M. Bragg.  His great grandchildren are: Allie Slone, Archer Yoder, and Avery Yoder.

Harry was a 1960 graduate of Elkhart High School. After high school, he enlisted and served in the US Air Force from 1960 to 1966.

Harry attended McCoy Baptist Church in Elkhart as a youth, and then attended First Baptist Church of Elkhart where he met the love of his life, Mary, and they married on August 25, 1962.

He worked as an RV salesman for Holiday Rambler, Jayco, Newmar, and many other RV companies through the years. Harry was very athletic and competitive and enjoyed slow pitch and fast pitch softball and was an avid golfer and deer hunter.

Harry placed his faith in Jesus Christ as a youth, and then as a young adult he rededicated and surrendered his life to the Lord, and that began his lifelong journey and his utmost desire to share the gospel with anyone God brought into his life.  He did this through Gospel Magic and Prison ministry to share the gospel and encourage the inmates, and while attending First Baptist Church of Elkhart he was active in evangelism outreach through Evangelism Explosion in Elkhart County area.

Harry also taught Sunday School classes and Wednesday night bible studies through the years, and he and Mary did bible studies out of their home for many years as well.

Harry gave up everything he enjoyed doing to take care of his precious wife Mary as she began her journey with dementia and showed all of us what true love and sacrifice really looked like.

When Harry moved to The Waters of Wakarusa, he continued to do Bible studies with the elders that lived there and brought them encouragement through God’s Word.

Harry will be greatly missed by all of us, but we do not grieve like those who have no hope. If you have placed your faith and trust in Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, like Harry did, you will see him again someday!
