Harold G. Frick, 82, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and formerly of Goshen, died late Saturday night, September 5, 2009, at CMC Pineville in Pineville, North Carolina. He was born in Lakeville, Indiana, on August 28, 1927, to the late Jasper "Dale" and Elsie (Bunch) Frick. He married Evelyn A. Weiss on August 31, 1947 in Bremen. She survives. A Goshen resident from 1956 to 2008, Mr. Frick retired from Rieth-Riley in 1990 after 42 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren and attended First Baptist Church in Fort Mill. He graduated from Lakeville High School in 1945 and in 1950 from Purdue University School of Engineering. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Following retirement he wintered in Florida, took up oil painting and enjoyed sports. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Linda A. (William) Sullivan of O'Fallon, Missouri; a son, Glenn D. (Hazel) Frick of Fort Mill, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Florita (Darrel) Graf of Lakeville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith D. Frick; and two brothers, Ray and Dean Frick. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 10 at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Timothy Yoder, licensed minister at Goshen City Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
