Harold E. Deknikker

Harold E. Deknikker, 77, died Sunday, January 12, 2025 at his home under hospice care.

He was born October 20, 1947 in Goshen to Arthur and Donnabelle (Bickel) Deknikker.

Survivors include three children, James (Katina) Deknikker of White Pigeon, Michigan, Harold R. Deknikker of Goshen and Cynthia Deknikker of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four siblings, John Deknikker of Pennsylvania, Lewis Deknikker of southern Indiana, Bert Deknikker of Waterford, Indiana and Carol Pollard of New York.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Phelps.

Mr. Deknikker worked as a machinist for Johnson Controls and Elkhart Brass. He enjoyed playing darts and finding time to go fishing whenever he could.

A celebration of life may be held later at the DAV, Goshen.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
