Harold J. Cart

Harold J. Cart, 96 of Fort Wayne died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Lincolnshire Place.

He was born March 30, 1923 in Niles, Michigan to Ollie and Grace (Price) Cart.

On June 1, 1946 he married Margaret E. Diller. She survives.

Other survivors include nieces and nephews, Randy (Linda) Diller and Cathy (Robert) Harris, both of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Terry (Debbie) Diller of Fort Wayne, Kelly (Mark) Lundquist and Kerry (Heather) Foster, both of Albion; and a sister-in-law, Sue (Donald) Foster, also of Albion.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.

A WWII veteran, Mr. Cart served in the U.S. Army infantry in Italy.  He worked for D.J. Construction, as a foreman for 23 years before retiring in 1986.

Harold enjoyed fishing, crafts, and playing cards and dominoes.  Harold and Margaret began wintering in Avon Park, Florida in 1959, where they developed many special friendships.

Visitation will begin Friday, January 17, 2020 at 9 a.m. prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.  Chaplain Jon Moody, Heartland Hospice will officiate.

Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
