Harley W. Haines, 81 of Goshen, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 8:45 p.m. in Goshen General Hospital. He was born July 15, 1925 in Modelia, Minnesota, to Louetta Haines. He worked as a mechanical engineer at several area companies including Switches. Surviving is his friend and companion of 39 years, Frances Shrock of Goshen. Two daughters, Penny (Danny) Stiner and Pam (Rossevelt) Smith, both of Kokomo; one son, Steven (Sondra) Budd, Naperville, IL. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service at First Baptist Church, Goshen, Saturday, February 3, 2007 with Pastor Jim Shrock officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana. Mr. Haines served as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force as a fighter pilot and flight instructor. In the early 1950’s he served as a flight instructor at Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Goshen .
