Hannah Grieser Hochstetler, 26, of Jackson, Mississippi, and formerly of Goshen, passed away January 19, 2017.
Hannah was born November 4, 1990 in Goshen to Michael and Beth Grieser. She attended Goshen College where she met her husband, Caleb Hochstetler.
Caleb and Hannah recently moved to Jackson, Mississippi where they worked as unit leaders and house parents for a Service Adventure unit (part of Mennonite Mission Network) of young adults doing voluntary service. Previously they lived in Harrisonburg, Virginia where they attended Ridgeway Mennonite Church and served as youth leaders.
Hannah spent much of her time creating and capturing beauty through photography, painting, and graphic design. She was known for her deep faith, authenticity, and joy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Hannah is survived by her paternal grandparents Willard “Bill” and Marilyn Grieser of Archbold, Ohio, and maternal grandmother Donna Smucker of Goshen. Also surviving is a brother, Nathan Grieser and wife Kate (Derstine) and their two daughters Ivy and Juniper of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a sister, Sarah Grieser of Goshen, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather John R. Smucker and an aunt Beth (Grieser) Neuenschwander.
Friends may call Friday, February 3, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at East Goshen Mennonite Church.
A 2 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017, memorial service will be conducted at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.
