H Gertrude Krieg

H. Gertrude Krieg, 97, of Goshen, died early Thursday morning, June 1, 2006, at Greencroft Nursing Center where she had been a resident since July 2005. She was born December 2, 1908, in Tuxford, Saskatchewan, Canada, to James S. and Winnifred (Heddington) Thomas.  On December 25, 1926, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, she married Eldon L. Krieg.  He died May 30, 1987.   Mrs. Krieg is survived is two granddaughters, Lynn (Douglas) Marchand of New Paris, Indiana, and Valerie (Steve) Young of Lake Orion, Michigan; and four great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eldon; a daughter, Donna Kennedy Cross; three sisters and a brother.   Friends will be received one hour prior to a 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Greencroft chaplains Dee Swartz and Margaret Sawatsky will officiate.   Burial will be Violett Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
