Gwin Meade, 85, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Strawberry House of The Laurels of Goshen.
He was born December 12, 1937, in Pikeville, Kentucky to Willard and Maxie Meade. He was the second son of nine children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Joe Meade.
He is survived by his wife Judy; two children Stacy (Steve) Curtis and Tim (Kay) Meade; two step-daughters Debbie (Rich) Jones and Becky (Brent) Ragsdale; five grandchildren, Mike, Shelbie, Kyle, Scott and Stephanie; six great grandchildren, three brothers, Clinton (Pat) Meade, Ira Meade, Jackie (Trina) Meade; and sisters, Helen (Bill) Scholly, Lila (John) Blosser, Brenda (Craig) Crisp and Kathy (Danny) Collins.
Gwin was employed by Conn Selmer, Elkhart for 38 years in supervision. He wintered for 18 years Sebring, Florida and enjoyed cruising with friends. He was a University of Kentucky fan and attended all of grandson, Mike’s Concord High School football games.
A US Army veteran, Gwin enjoyed puttering around his pole barn, going to garage sales, gardening and collecting and recycling aluminum cans.
Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the 12, noon funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Bunyan, Community Church of Waterford, will officiate.
Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery.
