Gwen Elaine “Grammy” Telschow, 50, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, February 11, 2006, in the emergency room at Goshen General Hospital. She was born October 21, 1955, in Lansing, Michigan, to Ronald W. and Glenna (Hart) Telschow. She was formerly married to Michael L. Cleveland. Ms. Telschow was a Teachers’ Assistant at the Life Program Center for Elkhart Community Schools. She had formerly helped with the Adult Literacy Program. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Church, Middlebury. She enjoyed writing children’s stories, making greeting cards and drawing. She had special relationships with her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Her smile, sharp wit and love of practical jokes will be missed by all. She had the gift of making others feel welcome. She is survived by her parents, Ronald and Glenna Telschow of Middlebury; a daughter, Carleigh (Wade) Holem of Goshen; a son, Chris (Tammy) Cleveland of South Bend and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Dawn Newtson of Middlebury, Cheri (Roger) Bontrager of Goshen, and Ronda (Ron) Lemler of Bourbon; and three brothers, Michael (Heather) Telschow of Wakarusa, Dan (Amy) Telschow of Benton Harbor and Ron (Kelly) Telschow II of Goshen. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2006, service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to The Life Program of Elkhart Community Schools in Memory of Gwen Telschow.
